·         The following are some important dates and events that you may want to make note of:

·         Today is the  Last Day of the 2nd Nine Weeks / Students will receive new Schedules during 8th Period

·         Monday, January 20, 2014 = No School MLK Holiday

·         Tuesday, January 21, 2014 = 1st Day of the 3rd Nine Weeks (Students change classes) / 8th Period RSP Reward Celebration (Students must be present to win)

·         Wednesday, January 22, 2014 = Grades must be submitted via ENGRADE before 2pm / Day Basketball Game 1pm (We will follow the regular bell schedule until it is time to go to the game)

·         Thursday, January 23, 2014 = RSP Reward Trip to ALFA Running Right Academy

·         Friday, January 24, 2014 = Report Cards go home during 8th Period

·         Lady Leaders will be meeting in the conference during Tiger Time and Lunch Sessions.

·         We would like to wish everyone celebrating a birthday this week a Happy Birthday!



·         The following students were winners yesterday at the Academic Challenge Games and will be traveling to Tennessee in April to represent CMS and Logan County.
Levi , Chase , Trey , Cassidy , Devin , Savannah , Emilee .

Out of the 25 spots available in the county, CMS filled 7 of them!!!

·         Congratulations to Emily Triplett for winning 1st place and Savannah Toney for winning 2nd place at the County Spelling Bee. Both students will be going to the State Spelling Bee in Charleston to represent Logan County.

  • Students there will be no 2nd breakfast this morning.
  • A WV State Trooper will be here this morning to speak to all grade levels. Beginning at 8:00 starting with the 5th grade.
  • Anyone interested in going Christmas Caroling we will be going Saturday the 21st at 5:00.
  • The Lady Leaders will be meeting during Tiger Time today.
  • Teachers please advised that Mrs. Colley, the nurse, is out today.

  • Lunch Menu: Steak and Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Roll, Oranges
  • The 7th and 8th grade will going to the movies this morning.
  • If anyone wishes to donate to the Operation Santa Toy Drive being conducted all across Logan County please bring an unopened toy to Mrs. Gore. The toys should not cost more than 10 dollars. We are doing this in partnership with the Junior LEAD Program at Chapmanville Regional High School.
  • Anyone interested in going Christmas Caroling we will be going Saturday the 21st at 5:00.

  • Lunch Menu: Pig-in-Blanket, Broccoli Cheese & Rice Casserole
  • If anyone wishes to donate to the Operation Santa Toy Drive being conducted all across Logan County please bring an unopened toy to Mrs. Gore. The toys should not cost more than 10 dollars. We are doing this in partnership with the Junior LEAD Program at Chapmanville Regional High School.
  • Progress Reports and Parent Communication are to be sent home today during 8th period.
  • Remember the basketball tournament continuing tonight games start at 6:00.
  • Students remember to turn in your 3.00 dollars for the trip to your 1st period teachers.
  • Also, the 7th grade will be eating during 1st lunch on Monday and the 8th grade will eat during 2nd Lunch. The 5th and 6th will eat when they return from the trip. Teachers please review the schedule with your students.
  • We would like to wish a Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating a birthday this week.

  • Lunch Menu: Taco Salad, Corn on the Cob, Spanish Rice, Refried Beans
  • If anyone wishes to donate to the Operation Santa Toy Drive being conducted all across Logan County please bring an unopened toy to Mrs. Gore. The toys should not cost more than 10 dollars. Also, tonight we have Home Basketball Games. Anyone donating an unopened toy will get in free. We are doing this in partnership with the Junior LEAD Program at Chapmanville Regional High School.
  • The basketball tournament begins tonight at 6:00.
